COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

USER PERSONAS

By analyzing our user research, we collected evidence that enabled us to develop user personas, which in turn facilitated our understanding of our users' needs and desires.

JOURNEY MAPPING

To gain insight into our design focus, we crafted a user journey map detailing their experiences at a coffee shop. This visualization highlights the steps a user takes to complete a task, aiming to pinpoint key interactions and their impacts in their current setting.

PROBLEM FRAMING

How might we create a solution that makes getting work done at coffee shops a completely personalized experience that maximizes productivity for every individual?

HIGH-FI PROTOTYPE

Based on feedback from our initial wireframe prototype, we made several changes in our high-fidelity prototype. We updated the review page, filtering options, and reservation buttons. To enhance accessibility, we added both dark and light modes. Additionally, we expanded the user profile to include an option to save favorite coffee shops.

PROJECT TAKEAWAYS

User-Centered Design Process

User-Centered Design
Process

Creating the Coffee Grind app has been a valuable experience that taught me the importance of a user-centered design process. We focused on truly understanding the needs of our target audience and figuring out exactly what we aimed to address before ideating through designs.

Time Constraints

One of our biggest challenges was the time constraint. With more time, we would have conducted additional usability tests and used the feedback to further iterate on our designs. These extra iterations would have helped us identify and address more pain points, refine our design, and significantly enhance the overall user experience.

Communication and Collaboration

Communication and
Collaboration

Our team collaborated closely throughout the design process, listening and providing constructive feedback to each team member's ideas, insights, and potential solutions. This strong teamwork contributed significantly to the success of Coffee Grind, enabling us to create a solution that met our target users' needs.

Further Iterations

Given more time, we would have focused more on refining our final product to ensure an even better user experience. Expanding on our initial designs and implementing additional user feedback would have been key steps in this process.
